Sing in the Cowshed!

Do you remember the Roker End, the Gallowgate, the Kop, or any other standing area at your favourite football ground? When children parents and grandparents all went to the game together for much less than a weeks wages. We all had our favourite spot that we would meet at, we would sway with the crowd and all sing in unison. The Taylor report closed the terraces at higher league grounds, but is this forever? Campaigners are rallying for the return of safe standing, of which the FE6 has recently joined this campaign. We recently visited our cumbrian cousins, the 'foxperts' as Carlisle United sold out for the first time in over 30 years when Leeds United visited town (03/11/2007) Whilst the fans danced with delight on the terraces it was all done in a safe and controlled fashion, children and all. But what do you think, is about time safe terracing was brought back? Your comments are welcome.

It is good to see the chairman (front of picture, in denimn jacket) enjoying his day out with our cumbrian counterparts, the foxperts. But I wonder what Gary Watts (ex blake arms fc)is doing alongside him?

Looks like the Cowshed at the Spartans Ground to me.

Brings back bad memories for certain members of the Fe6, as the invincible Seghill Comrades where (as a fluke) actually beaten in the Gainford cup final by Shieldfield with a certain Bomber up front (heavily bandaged from head to toe).Big fish of course wearing a tracksuit in the dugout.
A sad day for all, maybe the late introduction of the chairman in his favourite inside left position could of been a pivotal point in changing the game, unfortunately an all day drinking session with the Flash meant the chairman was unavoidably detained.
